1.Elephants

When ants sporadically roam about in search of food they can travel as far as 200 meters from their nest. To avoid getting lost most ant species to leave scent trails and can thus smell their way back home. They can also keep track of directions using the position of the sun and by combining this information, they can work out the shortest path back to the nest.
